Ah, my poor poor abandoned blog..

Ok, so (yet again) apologies for not having been around. I've not felt in the right frame of mind to post to be honest. I'm not feeling good at the moment at all - in fact, I'm having to constantly try & remind myself that life isn't all one big bad joke. Because that's how it feels right now!

But that's enough of that. No one wants to hear any of that malarkey, I'm sure.

So, just to save my blog being totally abandoned, I thought I'd stop by & post. I'm aware I said last time that my next post would be a giveaway - well, guess what - I'm letting you all down again, because it's not.
However, I will be having a giveaway in the near future (no promises as to when - as we all know how rubbish I am - but it will definitely be happening sooner or later)

Ok, down to business...

Nails:

Loved this. Gutted how messy it looks in this pic - it looked so good in real life!

Extremely shiny silver. Probably my favourite nail varnish at the moment. Have had to make a conscious effort to put it to one side, because I just want to wear it with everything!

This is one of my fave 'looks' - this pic was taken a whole week after I'd painted them though, that's why they're looking a bit lived in (tip wear etc)!

That's your lot for nails for now. As you can see - the accent nail trend is alive & kicking over here. Although now all my students (& certain fellow staff actually) are starting to do it too, so I've not done it for a couple of weeks & have just had block colours again!

What do you think? Is that enough for one post? Maybe it's because I don't post very often, but I always feel like I need to put loads, to make up for it! But is it too much? Do my posts get too long? Ah actually, I'm not sure that I'm overly bothered..!

Say hello to this year's new winter coat:

Yum. Love it. Although.. thought I'd live in it, but still haven't actually worn it yet! Keep being drawn back to last year's grey duffle (which I love lots still).. But I will wear it (I will I will!)

Can't remember if I mentioned this last time I was around (was so long ago!) - but I've been asked to be a bridesmaid at my best friend's wedding in August. Very exciting indeed :) I think this is the dress I'm having:

Any thoughts? I've not actually tried it on yet - or even seen it in person, for that matter. But I'm hoping it'll fit, because I really like the shape of it. In the photo, it's VERY 'me' indeed - so I'm hoping it's the same in real life!

Aren't they the cutest!? I've gotta be honest, I'm not actually a 'cat person'. Not in the slightest. Have always much preferred dogs. But these little guys - they are gorgeous. Can't deny it :)

Ok, I'm going to be off now. Hopefully I'll be back sometime relatively soon. Have got a huge amount to show you - because obviously I've been shopping (a lot - as usual) in my absence. In fact, I'm rather concerned about the level of my shopping.. but that's a story for another post..!

Ok, so gotta say, the summer holidays have been pretty up & down for me to be honest. I had friends down visiting for a few days (with some exciting news!), & that was brilliant - but since they've gone again I've been bloody miserable & have been finding it a real struggle to even get dressed & leave the house. So there have been quite a few days where I just.. haven't.
As a result, I've been watching these:

Which was really good. I actually think everyone should read it!

I've been trying really hard the past couple of weeks, to not buy so much (or anything if possible!) My shopping habits had seriously got out of control in a ridiculous way, so I really needed to cut down. Now was probably not the best time to try & do this, being off work for 5 weeks, & all the sales going on = not the best combination! I've been trying really hard though. (Don't worry, I've got bags & bags full of brand new things - I'm not going to run short of things to share on my blog!)

Clothing at Tesco are really trying to tempt me out of my shopping ban - they've got another one of their "£10 off when you spend £40" promotions - seriously!? And I keep taunting myself by going & having a look on the site - they've got some great things in their sale (as usual!) - I could definitely spend £40 pretty easily! But I'm being strong. I am! Argh!

One of the sales tempting me is the Dorothy Perkins one - here are a few things that I'd happily purchase if I was allowed!

Heart-print dress = £10

Stripe cotton skirt = £9

Tribal print skirt = £9

Violet midi-skirt = £12

This was listed twice on the site under different names - one was £15 & one was £12!

And this one is out of my budget anyway, but I love it:

2in1 prom dress = £25

Although Dorothy Perkins are NOT in my good books at the moment - yet again. So I wouldn't be ordering with them anyway! I've definitely said that before, but always end up being suckered into going back - but will definitely have to think harder next time I'm tempted to shop with them. My last order was cocked up AGAIN & they STILL haven't sorted it. This seems to happen every time with them!

I'm off to Cardiff on Monday with my Mum. Just for a couple of days, but should be a nice change of scenery. We went a couple of years ago & had a really nice time, so hopefully cna recreate that again! If anyone's got any recommendations of things to do/places to eat/things to see etc, whilst in Cardiff, please feel free to leave them for me - they'll be greatly appreciated :)

Thought I'd do a quick post to show you some of the jewellery I've been wearing this week.. if anyone's remotely interested!

By the way, the nail varnish is another of the Accessorize ones from my last post, if you were wondering :)

I never knew a little blue Lego ring would cause so much disruption & controversy to my school day! Seriously, I don't know if ANY of my rings have ever gained that much attention before. The kids could not stop talking/asking about it. Bearing in mind, my 'kids' are 14-16 years old, not littluns!

I wore it the same day, I wore this one:

This one's a new one from the asos sale. I love it. I've wanted a star shape ring of some sort for ages, as I felt it was something I was lacking in my ring collection(!) - so when I spotted this in the sale, it had to be mine :)

I noticed a while ago that there was a stand of jewellery now, amongst all the general supermarket stuff, but have been trying to avoid it - however when I saw big half price stickers, I couldn't resist any more & these are what I came away with!

Love it - white was a colour much underrepresented in my ring collection, so that obviously needed to be rectified!
This was one of the concessions at DPS - possible Ribbon & Asher..?

Ok - there are more, namely a number more from the asos sale - but I'm not sure I'm happy with the pics of 'em, so they can wait for today.

Love my seahorse necklace - he's so cute :) He was from the Men's section of asos. Quite a while ago now. I wear him quite a lot. I'm surprised actually that he hasn't featured on my blog already!

This is gorgeous in real life. Another purchase from the Dorothy Perkins sale - bargain at only £2 - reduced from £12.50! Definitely couldn't leave it behind for that price!

Last one for today:

Bought this AGES ago, but then forgot all about it. (I'm a buggar for that, tis shameful..)
I really like it though, so now I've refound it, I'll definitely be wearing it a lot! It's really simple, but a bit different. I did notice though, that I rattled a bit as I moved around wearing it, because all the pieces are separate, so move a bit - if that makes sense..?! Anyway, that definitely won't put me off wearing it!

Right, just a quick chat & then I'll be off..

I finished work on Tuesday, for five weeks. Yes, five weeks. Bonus of working in a school! So, although I've been pretty rubbish recently at commenting/updating/replying to comments, I will definitely be around a bit more & trying harder at keeping up with those things :)

I'm still hoping to do a giveaway when I get to 250 followers. I was very close to that total, but then I keep losing people (presumably because I don't post regularly enough).. But we'll see!

I am going to get my arse in gear & attempt to get a blog sale organised. When I look around my room (& in fact, my whole house), I realise just how many clothes I have actually got - majority of which have NEVER been worn. Again, shameful. So yeah, hopefully that'll be something that a few of you will be interested in (else it'll be pointless me doing it!)

Figured I should probably make the effort to post again - it's been about a month :/ For some reason Blogger is still not working properly for me, but at least I've worked out now that I can still post - just have to do it from my phone. Bit of a faff, but there we go!

So, as usual, this will be a bit of a hotchpotch post of different things, including things I've bought (lots - oops!), nails etc..

So we'll start with.. erm.. (this is the problem with not having any structure to my posts, I never know where to start or anything!)

Are the sales killing anyone else?! Ok, killing may be an exaggeration. Killing my bank account would be more accurate. Honestly, why do I have NO willpower whatsoever when it comes to shopping!?

Here's a few things I've bought recently:

LOVE these. They were from New Look & were reduced to £7 in the sale.
I definitely didn't need them, but hello, how could I resist!? They're really rather lovely indeed. These are probably number 20 or something silly like that, in my brogue collection.. Oops!

I've bought quite a few things actually in the New Look sales, but haven't got pics of anything else yet. Ooh apart from this:

And you probably know already the elephant one was from Primark. Lots of people seem to have it, but I couldn't resist for £1!

You know what I'm like when it comes to my jewellery.. Nightmare! Speaking of which, I bought LOADS from the asos sale too.. Lots of new rings. As if I needed new rings! Will try & get pics soon..

I bought a few things from the River Island sale too.. I hardly ever shop in there, but I saw a free delivery code so thought it was worth a look.. I'm seriously a sucker for free delivery!

I've never really been a fan of slogan tees, but recently have found myself being attracted to them more & more. They're just so easy to wear, when you can't be bothered, or haven't got time to think too much about your outfit..

Now I may well be the only sad enough person to get this reference, but the slogan instantly made me think of a song from the Buffy musical episode..

No? Just me? Thought so! (If you do know what I'm talking about, please do say so I don't feel quite so alone in my utter lameness..!)

Ok, what next?

Right, I mentioned free delivery earlier.. Well I was seduced into making some more purchases yesterday because of a free delivery offer! Everyone get yourself over to Clothing at Tesco, to get free delivery until tonight..

I've got the following winging its way towards me:

Oops, yes, more new brogues! But they were only £5.. And I've got a few pairs of Tesco shoes & they're REALLY good quality.. so obviously I couldn't resist.. (by the way, if you're looking for these: for some reason they're in the Kids sale section - I have no idea why, they're adult sizes, but just a tip for you!)

Which are cropped palazzo pants. Hmm.. We'll see. I'm thinking they'll probably look like a skirt, so will be fine!

Speaking of skirts, also got:

I really like maxi skirts at the moment - they're so comfy & easy to wear. But all mine are plain colours, so figured I'd try a couple of patterned ones. They were only £5 each, so can't go too far wrong!

I've bought lots more too, but don't want to bore you so I'll save some for another post :)

Yes I know, I know - I am a SERIOUSLY bad blogger. I admit it.
I'm not going to bother with all the apologies & excuses, because well.. what's the point? Life just kinda got in the way. I haven't even been commenting, which is a bit more unlike me (I've never been the best at posting regularly, but I generally have been an ok commenter!)
But anyway, I'm here now - for the timebeing at least..

Am very much overdue an update - so much so, that I don't even know where to start! As always, this is going to be pretty random. My posts aren't ever really structured are they? Maybe if they were, I'd find it easier to update..?

Have bought lots & lots of things since I last posted.. Including this, my new favourite necklace:

Ok, I think I'll use this post to show you some of my more recent nail 'looks' - some of these pics may also include new rings too. Remember the days I always used to show you what rings I was wearing?!

I'm not sure that I have the patience/time/concentration span to caption each picture with the details - so how about, if you're interested in something specific, just ask! (I know my reputation for commenting back is astoundingly bad, but I will try very hard!)

Ok, that's your lot! I think the baby pink/hot pink combo was my favourite - which is strange really, because I'm not generally a very 'pink' person.. Any opinions you care to share?

Right, I'm going to leave you with one last thing. Over the Easter holidays I had a big ol' clear out. Or, the start of one at least! Hence discovering these babies:

New favourite shoes! These had been hiding away, never ever worn, for the best part of.. I dunno, 5 years? (Please no comments on how ridiculous that is, I'm well aware :/)
Well anyway, since rediscovering them, I literally have barely taken them off my feet! What did I wear before these? They're amazing. They go with practically everything, are supremely comfortable, & just generally bloody perfect. Yay for finding unworn things & falling in love with them!

Ok, so I've been busy. And lazy. And unmotivated. And pissed off with Blogspot (because I composed an entire, great, long post a few days ago, which then disappeared off the face of the Earth - not happy!)
There you go, that's the excuses out the way.. But I'm here now, just about! So here goes for a truly random post, as always with me.. Ok, so where to start?!

which is supposedly Green Tea. Now, this is my first experience of Models Own - I bought a few of their colours in the asos sale a while back, but hadn't got round to using them yet. I've heard so much about them, I was really expecting good things. However! Well, the colour is absolutely NOTHING like the pic for a start. Which as it happens, isn't the end of the world, as I like it anyway. It's also a matte finish, which is ok now I've got used to it, but I really wasn't sure of to begin with. I do think it should state if they're matte - I'm sure I would've bought it anyway, but I would've been prepared!
It went on nicely, but it chipped REALLY badly, really quickly! Which I was definitely not expecting. I've now stuck a coat of black Instant Effects over it, which I thought was quite cool, until my nephew informed me he liked my 'dinosaur nails'..
Anyway, rant over.

I know, I know, it's hot & sunny - not jumper weather. But I couldn't resist it. I also am still not sure that it's my colour, but oh well, it's mine now, so who cares!?

I've also got another order due to arrive tomorrow from DPs, so I'll share that with you at some point too :)

Right, a couple of things, then I'm off again. First things first, I'm going to be holding a giveaway, I'm thinking it may well be a 250 followers giveaway - but I'll let you know the details when I decide :)

And the other thing, I had a rather large clear out yesterday - would you guys be interested if I did a blogshop type thing on here? The vast majority, if not all, of it is brand new with tags - between sizes, probably 8-14..? ) oh, & shoes - size 5-6. What do you think? I was going to take all the photos tomorrow & sort it all out, to hopefully actually do the blogpost on Friday probably.. but I don't want to if no one will actually be interested.. Well, I've now been home for more than a week, so figured it was time for a quick update!

Love this colour. Even though it's such an Autumnal colour, I still can't get enough of it. What do you think? Should I be putting these pieces away, ready for Autumn/Winter again? Gotta be honest, I just wear what I want, when I want. And I love this colour, regardless what season it is!

So, I haven't been around for a while - again I know, I know..
I even missed my one year anniversary of blogging - which was the 17th Feb, if you're interested. I am still going to do a giveaway at some point though - I've been collecting some bits & pieces in anticipation of it, so it will be going ahead sooner or later.

I've lost a few followers in my absence, which is always a bit sad - but also must've gained a couple along the way too, so hi :)

I don't even really have an excuse for my absence - just generally, being busy, pretty much covers it!

Honest opinions welcomed!

My Mum is concerned that while I have a lot of jewellery that could be described as 'quirky', this may be seen as 'serial-killer-quirky' - her words, not mine!

I love it nonetheless! And my 2yr old nephew was pretty impressed with it, purely because I "can break down doors like Fireman Sam".. Fair enough!

I placed a rather large order from Matalan the other day - first time I've ordered from them. Was quite impressed. Got some right bargains! Which I'm sure you know by now, is totally my favourite thing to do in the world. Here is a sneak preview of one of the items I received:

Not that I ever update all that much anyway, so you probably wouldn't have noticed - but I'm away for the next week (as of tomorrow).. I'm on a school trip, with the 6th Form. To Disneyland, Paris! Hugely excited! (Yes, I'm aware I'm an adult..!) We've also got a day actually in Paris, where there's an Eiffel Tower trip planned, as well as a walk around & shopping :)

We're leaving tomorrow evening, & I've not packed ANYTHING at all - so that's my plan for tomorrow! Getting my arse in gear. Wish I was more organised..

Yet again, another rather random post from the world of heart-shaped-bruise!

Ok, so I'm going to start by sharing my new favourite nail varnish with you. Now you may or may not have noticed: I have a LOT of nail varnishes.

This is one I picked up the other week:

I must have shared with you before, my love of George @ Asda nail varnishes.. I've got quite a few. They're such a bargain, & tend to be really good too!

This was really difficult to get a decent picture of, so I had to give up. I recommend you check it out in person. It's the most gorgeous, two-toned shade of purple/blue. Honestly, it's amazing. I took loads of pics, but my phone-camera is just not picking up the amazingness of it.

I'll show you this pic, because it also shows off one of my newest rings:

Now, I've already mentioned how gorgeous the colour of my nail varnish is, & how the pictures really don't reflect it. What I now need to tell you, is that the above photo (with new ring) was taken 10 days after application. 10 days. Seriously. How good is that!? I honestly can't express how impressed I've been with this nail varnish. There are NO chips! It's not looking quite 100%, I will admit, but not TOO far off!

All this for the bargain price of only £1.

Cannot recommend enough :) And like I say, I've got quite a few nail varnishes from this range, & generally I've always been pleased with them - particularly for the bargainous price!

Has anyone been watching that new programme - 'Bedlam'? I've only seen one so far, but I quite liked it - I think it definitely has potential - & is at least, watchable. Not sure if my opinion was swayed though because it's starring Will Young. & I've totally got a soft spot for Mr Young.. how could you not!?

Anyway, I've only got 3 days of school left & then I'm on half term. Thank God! (In fact, just remembered I'm out on a course on Thursday, so only 2 actual school days) Am in desperate need of a break, so am looking forward to half term. It's only a week, but it'll hopefully be enough to recharge my batteries a bit.. Honestly, working with teenagers day in, day out, is absolutely draining!

Riteyho, here we go - another random post from me. You should expect nothing less from me nowadays.

I've got LOADS of stuff to show you - new purchases etc, but the majority of it I haven't got pics of yet, so you'll have to wait.

I've made an effort this week to take some pics of what rings I've been wearing. I don't even know why really, just felt like I wanted to! Plus it's easier to swiftly take a photo of your hands without people noticing & asking questions, than it would be my outfits or whatever.. so there you go!

Ok, so Day 1:

I've had both of these for a long time. They're rather more 'classic' in style than my usual 'statement' look - I just fancied something simple that day, yet still pretty in my opinion :)

Day 2:

The two purple rings are both from eBay, & again are ones I've had a while. The other one, is an 'Empowerment' ring. I'd been on a training course the evening before on 'Domestic Violence Awareness', & was drawn to that ring the morning after.. I've got a matching necklace somewhere as well - haven't seen that for a long time though, hmm...

Day 3:

The gold heart double ring was courtesy of Alex at www.oddsocksandprettyfrocks.blogspot.com & I LOVE it. It's honestly one of my favourite rings (& that's saying something - not like I haven't got enough to choose from!) So, thanks Alex :)

& the other one is another eBay purchase, from a long time ago - I got a batch of 8 rings (I think) all like that, but different colour stones - I do like them, but I often forget about them, so they don't get worn as often as they should!

Ok, so they're the rings I've taken pics of this week. I actually bought 3 more new rings today.. but I'll save them for another time!

I thought I was doing so well, yet I have managed to not post for 2 weeks - again! Honestly, I'm rubbish!

Right, so this is going to be a total hotch-potch of things, just because I'm in the mood to quickly post something.

Ok, so this is (hopefully) going to be a relatively quick post for me - I'm not very good at short posts, I can never really see the point!

Thought you may well (or more likely, not, but that's fine!) be interested in seeing the results of one of my online orders. I'm still waiting on loads - I don't know what's happening with the mail at the moment, but I'm not impressed, gotta be honest! (Seem to have been waiting particularly long for asos & New Look - anyone else having problems with them..? I'm getting impatient!)

Right, so this post is going to quickly show you my sales purchases from:

These items were purchased with free delivery, & using a 10% off code - although, I was too keen, because now there's an EXTRA 10% off sale items.

This was reduced to £5! What a bargain! I literally could not buy it. It's grey - tick. A cardigan - tick. £5 - tick. Mine - tick!

This was £7. Figured it'd be quite a versatile purchase - working just as well with jeans as it would with a skirt for work. I like versatile things. They make me feel more justified in buying them!

Very excited to spot these babies in the sale - I've been after some grey brogues for AGES now. I may have even mentioned it on here. These are basically EXACTLY what I was looking for :) Got them in 2 sizes, because I was worried in case they didn't fit - & guess what?! The size 5 is too small & the size 6 are too big. Gutted!
Gonna try them again though & see which ones I'll be more able to live with... I will make them work. They have to! I need them in my life!

This beauty has gone pretty much straight to the top of my 'favourite dress' list. (If I had a 'favourite dress' list that is..)
I love it. The colour, the shape, everything. It's gorgeous. And really flattering on, which is always a plus!
My only slight problem with it is that it's too short for work. But then again, so's most things I buy/try on, so..! Can't wait to wear it - love it!

Ok, so that's the end of my Dorothy Perkins order - it was the smallest one I'd made, but it's the only thing that's arrived!

The nail varnish is an asos one - it's probably a bit darker than it looks there, the flash has brightened it up a bit.
The necklace is one I got from eBay - it's great. I wore it a couple of days ago & got quite a few comments from my students! My nephew (who will be 2 on Saturday) was quite impressed with it - he was looking through them & I was asking if he could see & he said "no, just pretend" - so cute :)

Welcome to all my new followers - was well chuffed to see I'd got over the 200 mark, even with my hugely unreliable posting..

There's so much for me to say/show you that I don't even know where to begin. I haven't got pics of my Christmas presents or anything - to be honest, I didn't get a huge amount this year. Since Christmas however, I have ordered a huge amount of things online. I originally thought the sales were rubbish but then, on second look (when everything was marked down further!), I found quite a few things I wanted.. so am currently awaiting deliveries from: Dorothy Perkins, Play.com, eBay, asos, New Look, Priceless Shoes, HMV.. May have got a bit carried away, but oh well! Had some extra money in my December paypacket, so why not treat myself?!

I figured I'd stick to something I always used to show you on my blog though, & haven't done so much recently - my rings :)

Here's the first of my new rings:

It was from one of the concessions in New Look - how adorable & 'me' is that!? Could not resist.

I got this one yesterday:

A bargain in the Accessorize sale - 90p!

This next one I actually bought a while ago, but haven't worn yet (had forgotten I'd bought it), so figured it still counts as new!

Picked that one up in Primark - like I said, it was a while ago now. Glad I found it though, will definitely have to debut it asap!

The big turquoise one, is also one I bought a little while ago (the same day as the Primark one actually) - it was in the sale in Warehouse & cost the bargainous price of £2! It very obviously had to come home with me :)

It's annoying me that you can see the tags on this, but I'm too lazy to go & take another picture, so I'll have to put up with it.

The other one, I picked up today when I was out with my Mum. She actually spotted it - well done Mum! It was from Store Twenty One, which used to be QS - I hardly ever go in there, but was glad I had today - this one was reduced to £1.75 :)

So yes, new followers, you may have picked up that I have a bit of a 'thing' for rings! The cheaper the better, generally speaking!

I, like lots of people, am back to work tomorrow.. Part of me is dreading it (mainly hearing the alarm in the morning - urgh!) but part of me is actually looking forward to it - as I've mentioned on here before, the routine is good for me. And I do actually enjoy my job, it's just the thought of going back puts you off! I'm sure you know what I mean..

Ok, so I haven't posted since the 30th October. That is pretty ridiculous. I do apologise.. I've had a lot going on. A huge amount going on actually. That now I've started writing, I really don't want to go into..
I've tried to still read/comment your blogs, I just couldn't face my own. I don't even know why. If you've been following a while you've probably already noticed that I have issues! Do forgive me...

Also forgive me for this hugely random post. This is just a 'I'm in the mood so might as well' kinda post. So will basically consist of anything that pops into my head :)

So.. as I'm sure you can imagine, I've bought a lot since I last posted. In fact, even when I last posted there was a huge amount of things I hadn't shown you..

Right, I believe in my last post I was babbling on about Autumn colours. This links to this:

Which is pretty much my favourite bag at the moment. Purely because of the colour. This isn't a colour I've ever really owned/worn, but for some reason recently I've become a bit obsessed with it! I love it. My collection of items in this colour or very similar now consists of: this bag, shoes, dress, tights, top & scarf (obviously not all to be worn at once!) I'm certainly noticing more of this kinda colour about recently, so I'm assuming it's not just me that's a fan!

You've probably seen these lots about, but these are one of my favourite pairs of shoes at the moment (I did warn you this would be a random post!):

They were £8 from Primark & to be honest, I wasn't entirely convinced when I first picked them up, but thought they were worth a try. So glad I did because I absolutely love them! I've worn them LOADS since I've had them, which says a lot for me, because I rarely wear brown. But they're great & my feet seem to constantly be in either these or my black studded brogues at the moment.
If I could find these (or something very similar) in grey, then my life would actually be complete..

I found this the other day:

I'd bought it AGES ago from that wonderful world of eBay & then I must've just put it to one side & forgotten all about it! I'm a nightmare, honestly. It goes to show that I have/buy FAR too many things! But anyway, I came across it the other day & decided that I love it. It's just the right side of tacky & it's really pretty :) What do you think? Too tacky? Don't worry, I won't be offended!

Some good news for moi! I've just found out I've won this:

I didn't really feel like updating to be honest. But I'm sat here watching The X Factor, so figured I could do this at the same time.. My mind's not really in it at the moment to be honest. We've had some sad family news yesterday & I can't really think about anything else.

This is just a quick, half-hearted post to be honest - I do apologise. Yet again. I know. I'm crap. And that's why I'm losing followers too! Oops. Oh well. On the flip side though, hi to my newer followers - my blog will at some point be a bit better, hopefully!

Right, I said in my last post that I'd been to Blackpool last week & spent a day in the Lake District? Well here's a few pics from that day :)

I'm loving these autumnal colours at the moment, & those first couple of pics sum them up for me really - I am being inspired by those colours whilst shopping (so have obviously got LOTS of things to show you at some point..!)

These next pics were taken when we were on a boat cruise across Lake Windermere - it was such a gorgeous day. We were so lucky :)

I had so many posts planned, but yet again, have been entirely rubbish at actually doing them! I do apologise, as always.

Lots has happened since I last posted.. including:

-going back to work: Yeah.. so I went back to work. Before my sick note expired actually.. Just felt like I should go back sooner rather than later, for my own sake & because I felt guilty about leaving them in the lurch..

-my birthday: Urgh. Didn't actually celebrate at all really! Basically just tried very hard to forget it even was my birthday.. Just not in the mood this year. And I feel old! Urgh.
I did get a nice selection of jewellery though - my family obviously know me well!

-half term: I was only back at work for a week & then it was half term anyway (partly why I decided to go back!) - Have had a week off so far & still got another week to go :)

-Blackpool: spent Monday to Friday in Blackpool on a coach trip with my Nan.. which I suppose I should be embarrassed to admit, but I don't really care! We had a good time. She hasn't been away for a really long time, & she wouldn't have gone on her own, so I know she appreciated the company. It was nice.
I actually really enjoyed living like a granny for a few days - a few early nights did me good!
My favourite day was Wednesday when we went up to the Lake District. It was a gorgeous day & we went for a boat cruise on Lake Windermere & it was just lush (pictures may well follow, when I can be bothered to find the camera lead!)

I'm sure there's other things I could talk about, but that's your lot for now!

I've been kinda busy, so am still trying to catch up on the reading/commenting I've missed over the last few days - I will do it though :)

I'm sorry for this disappointing post. I will get round to doing some better posts, sooner or later, including the things I'd promised in my last post. Just wanted to quickly update so you knew I was still about..

Right, so here I am again. As usual, it's been a while. I've decided that you lot surely don't expect anything more from me by now, so it's not like I'm letting anyone down! That's my theory anyway :)

I have been buying a ridiculous amount this week.
I know I always say that. And to be fair, yes, I do actually buy a lot of stuff. But this week seriously takes the biscuit! I actually think I need therapy or counselling of some sort to cure my shopping addiction. It can't be normal. I need help!

So, I'm going to share with you some of my buys. As I said, there's been a LOT - so what I'm going to do is break it down into sections. As you've probably guessed from the title, today's post is going to be based on my new footwear.. You also have the pleasure of 'clothes', 'cosmetics' and 'accessories - jewellery & bags' to look forward to, sooner or later :)

I've actually been signed off work sick (don't really want to go into that though..), so these have all been online purchases. It's just too easy to click those buttons & then have lovely packages come to your door!

First we have:

Just a note, those first pairs aren't actually as shiny as the flash has made them look. They're a more matte finish, then just the bows are sequinned.

I loved these on the site, they looked the perfect neutral colour & just gorgeous. Then I wasn't sure when they arrived.. But now, having photographed them & seeing these pics, I love them again :) I actually think they're amazing..
I've totally bought into the whole brogue trend.. I love them. I've now got quite a few pairs, in various colours - HOWEVER, I haven't worn them! What's the matter with me!? I love them on other people, then I feel like I look silly in them when I put them on.. But these are going to be the ones that break that cycle, I know :)

I am actually going shopping tomorrow :/ But I seriously need to try & not buy anything. No, not anything, that'd be unrealistic.. Not buy much. I'm going shopping with my sister, as she's starting a new job on Monday, & she needs work wear, including shoes/bag/everything! So hopefully I'll manage to stay focused on that mission, rather than get distracted by things for me.. We'll see!

Ok, so it turns out that I'm one of the worst bloggers in the history of blogging.. I have been SO crap recently it's actually unbelievable.. so:

I really am. I know that my posting makes or not makes no difference to any of your lives, but I still feel bad for having practically abandoned my blog. There's just too much going on at the moment. And even when I'm not doing anything at all, there's too much going on in my head, to concentrate on posting. If it makes you feel better, I'm also not reading or seeing my friends or watching dvds or anything else I'd normally be doing either - basically anything that requires any brain power at all, is out!

But I thought I should probably just remind you of my existence.. So here I am.
I've got a helluva lot of stuff I could show you.. It's all online shopping purchases, because I STILL can't find my camera, so website photos are the best I can do for the moment..

So here's some things I've been buying:

These were both sale items. Had them a little while, but haven't worn either. In fact, bought them bank holiday weekend, because there was a free delivery offer (which I can never resist!)
I've ordered from Boohoo a few times & never really had any problems, but they took the piss a bit with this order for various reasons - the main one being that it took more than 2 weeks for my parcel to arrive, which is pretty ridiculous! Also, was quite gutted when it actually got to me - because I was really excited about that dress, but it's FAR too short so I can't even wear it. Really disappointing.
The shorts are really cute, I love them. When I tried them on my Mum informed me they looked like pyjama bottoms though.. but, I don't care, I like them :)

Placed an order with www.dorothyperkins.com the other day. Should hopefully receive it tomorrow.
Again, this was inspired by a voucher code for 25% off, which I certainly put to good use!

Right, first things first, before I forget: how do I delete blogs from the list that I follow..? I'm not going to have a massive cull or anything, but there's a couple (ok, one in particular) that's doing my head in & I don't want to follow anymore.. It's just turned into a string of adverts basically & that really doesn't interest me. But I can't work out how to 'un-follow'! So please help if you can, thanks :)

So, as always, I've been buying stuff. Yes, I know, I have a problem..
I'm going to share with you just a tiny proportion of what I've bought recently. Mainly because I haven't had chance to take photos of the majority of it..

I had a big Primark trip last week.. Bought quite a lot, but the most expensive item I bought was £5, so definitely got my money's worth!

Love it. Totally got a thing for polka dots at the moment.

Yeah yeah, we've all got a million & one lace things.. It's old hat. However, for £2 I couldn't resist it. And I actually love it. I'm planning on wearing it over the top of my grey tshirt maxi dress. What do you think? Actually, I'm planning on wearing it with lots of things, but that's the main one I have in mind.

Bit of an update

So turns out that being off work doesn't make me a better blogger. In fact, I've been even more rubbish than I was previously! I do apologise. I don't even know why I've been so rubbish recently. I've still been reading & trying to comment, so hopefully no one's missed me too much :)

Don't really know what this post's going to be about. Just figured I had a chance to do it, so I should really make the most of it!

I had my eye on this in New Look for ages - it was originally £18, then went down in the sale to £12 but I still thought that was a bit much really for what it was.. then I spotted it on eBay (brand new with tags), paid about £4 including postage - thank you v.much!

It's nice & versatile - a good length to wear with leggings but it's not too long, that I could wear it with trousers for work too. Good stuff :)

I really liked the pumps, not even sure why, coz they're not really my thing, but I couldn't resist them! However, they may have to go into my impending blog sale, as the size 5 are too small & the size 6 are too big! I'm going to try them again though & see..

Speaking of my blog sale, I can't believe I haven't sorted it yet! As I said, I've been particularly rubbish at all this recently. But I really have got a ridiculous amount of stuff that I really think some of you would like :) & it'd be seriously good for me to have a bit of a clearout.. I remembered recently how I ALWAYS used to include in my posts what rings I'd been wearing, & I don't think I've done that for a bit, so here we go:

This is one of my favourite rings at the moment :) I bought it AGES ago, wore it once & then it disappeared from my life. I looked for it loads but thought it may well have gone forever, but then it turned up again yesterday - woo! So of course I had to wear it today - & I'll definitely be wearing it lots now I've found out. Love it.

Ok, so I don't want to talk too much about what I finished with last time - just because.. well, I don't want to! But I did just want to say: thank you all so much for your kind comments & support. You can't know how much it means to me. I really do appreciate every word. And I am actually attempting to take some of the advice - which if you knew me, you'd know is quite a big thing! I'm not good at taking advice!
I want to leave that at that for now. But wanted to say thanks :)

Ok, so, I was planning on sorting my blog sale, but then realised I still can't find my camera.. so.. I'm putting that off for now. I did start having a sort out - which led to me discovering about 15 pairs of shoes I've never worn. Literally NEVER worn. There's loads more that I've only worn once or twice, but I literally have a massive bag full of ones I've never worn. Which is crazy. But pretty much sums up my problem!
But anyway, I'll get back to the whole blog sale thing - it is going to happen in the next few weeks - promise :)

Right, so I thought I'd been really good recently - but then I remembered all this stuff - oops!

I placed an order on the Asda site the other day - think that's a new one for my blog! They can be a bit hit & miss, but generally they do have some pretty decent stuff. They also do great kids clothes :)

So, here's SOME of the bits I got - I'm going to pick them up in store on Monday - saves on delivery charges!

Those items range in price from £3 to £6 - bargains!

He's obsessed with motorbikes - so when I saw that tshirt, for the price of £1 (yes, £1!), I really couldn't resist. It's not even in the sale, that's just the price. Honestly, you can't go wrong!
The hoody was reduced from £3 to a whole £1.50 - such bargains!

So, slightly different topic now: mobile phones! I've been looking into getting a new phone for a little while, mine's started to go slightly mental, so it's getting kinda vital that I get a new one..

Just wondering if anyone had this? What you think of it? Pros, cons? I'd really like to hear some real-life opinions before I commit to it! There's no returns policy anymore either on contract phones, so if I got home & decided after 2 days I hated it.. I would be stuck with it for the next 2 years! So, I really want to be sure :) So anyone that can offer me any input I'd be really grateful :)

Also was wondering - does anyone have/know of any Boohoo free delivery codes? There's a few things I want in the sale, but I really begrudge spending that much on postage! I only ever order from there when I have a free delivery code, but I can't seem to find one, so thought I'd try you lovely lot :)

Before I start I just wanted to say a big thank you to everyone who's been commenting me & my new followers - I know I've been really rubbish recently, with commenting back & stuff, but I do really appreciate it all!

Ok, so my spending has kinda got out of control recently it seems.. but at least that means I've got lots to show you!

These are just another few things I've bought recently - I've not got pics of the rest yet. In a week's time, I've got the house entirely to myself, for a whole week - so I'll probably take that opportunity to take more pics for my blog. In fact, I could even use that time to set my blog shop up too.. hmm, that's an idea.. Right, we'll see. But for now, back to it!

More sale purchases:

Saw this pretty floral & crochet smock top in the Topshop sale the other week for £15. Liked it, but managed to resist it - glad I did, because I then saw it again this weekend - £7! So for that price, it had to be mine!
I'm actually really not convinced that it suits me at all. But I've decided, I don't really care & will probably keep it anyway!

Ok, I'll stick with dresses for the minute. I've picked these couple up, reduced in Primark:

Both things I'd liked full price but had managed to resist, so obviously had to snap up now they're in the sale!

I also bought one of the Primark jersey tshirt maxi dresses - a grey one. Haven't got a decent pic of it, so I'm not showing you. But it's really really nice! I've worn it a couple of times already & I'm loving it rather a lot.

Picked this top up in H&M:

for the bargain price of £2.99 - that's not even in the sale! Love this top, it's really light & flowy so would be great as a 'holiday' top, but I also wore it the other day to work - belted, black trousers, cardi etc & it worked that way too - very versatile & at that price, how could you resist!?

After my last post, asos released that 10% discount code, so I had to go back & have a little look.. honestly, I'm so naughty!

There were a few bits that caught my eye, that had gone further down in the sale, so plus the discount = must-have purchases!

Both of these are actually MUCH nicer in real life :)
I also got a couple of other things; a top & a necklace. But can't find either of them on the site now, so I'm assuming they've sold out - so no pics of those! The necklace actually arrived broken anyway - so I really wasn't impressed. But, I emailed asos this evening, & they got back to me REALLY quickly. Not just with an automated reply, but a real response - telling me a replacement item is on its way & also a discount code for my inconvenience. So.. although it's not ideal to receive faulty items from a company, I'm really impressed with how they've dealt with it. Just so you all know!

The last thing I'm going to show you isn't new, but I've rediscovered it recently! Had it a while, & used to wear it a lot, but then put it away & kinda forgot about it. But as I said, I've rediscovered it, so it's made a couple of appearances recently:

Ok, so I might as well mention.. I'm kinda going through a bit of a rough patch at the moment. I'd just thought I'd come out the other side of the last one, but turns out I hadn't quite.. I promise I'll not abandon my blog again & when I'm off work I'll actually try posting a bit more often.

Speaking of being off work: I have one day left, then 5 weeks off! The perks of spending my every working hour dealing with hormonal teens & all their dramas ;)
I'm actually feeling really conflicted about the holidays.. Which sounds so ridiculous, but let me try & explain.. Bit of insight into the crazy workings of my not quite right mind.. I'm really tired & really in need of a break, so am looking forward to having some time off - I'm really really looking forward to NOT hearing the alarm clock on Monday morning! BUT, I actually think work is the best place for me when I'm feeling like this. The routine, the structure of the school setting, really suits me. Work gives me something to focus on & in the most basic sense, gives me a reason to get up in the mornings.
Also, my main support network at the moment, is through my work colleagues. So, the thought of not being there for the next 5 weeks, is worrying me a bit.
It's a bit of a double-edged sword as well really, because THEN, come September 1st - I'm not going to want to go back! It'll be really hard to readjust back into it.
Believe me, I'm not complaining about the time off - I realise I'm very lucky to get such good holidays & most people would kill for holidays like mine. & normally, when I'm 'better', it wouldn't be a problem at all - it'd all be great. It's just because of how I am at the moment.. that this is all the stuff going on in my head.

In fact, I'm thinking it's definitely best to leave it there! Rather tempted to just delete that whole last paragraph.. It probably doesn't even make sense.. Ah well, told you I was feeling conflicted!

Ok, so lots & lots to share with you guys! This may turn into a rather picture-heavy post, so look away now if you're not interested in seeing things I've been buying!

First things first, something I made. Yep, get me!
Yesterday was my cousin's hen do & for part of it, we all went jewellery making. Here's the fruits of my labour, my finished product:

What do you think?! I think it'll feel right at home with my rather varied jewellery collection!
The hardest bit I found, was just deciding what beads/colours I wanted to use! We basically had the run of the shop - which was far too much choice for me. Took me ages to decide! There were lots of purple & turquoise jewellery being made, which I do like, but I thought I've got quite a lot of already, so I went for something a bit different. It's also relatively neutral, so will be easy to wear with lots of things :) Overall, I'm quite happy with it!

So, I've found the sales far too hard to resist. I'm sure you wouldn't expect anything different from me..!

Here's my latest asos order - should arrive hopefully tomorrow!

Think my favourite is the aeroplane necklace - love it :)

I've bought a few pairs of new shoes in the past couple of weeks too:

Got both these pairs in the New Look sale. Haven't worn either of them yet though!

These are a bit more wintery - they're suede & such a lovely burgundy colour (really not 'me' at all!) - but I fell in love with them, best part = only £4! Bargain. So I couldn't resist obviously.

Speaking of more wintery, I also bought a pair of boots the other day. I'm not entirely sure about these, but knew if I didn't get them I'd regret not trying them!

Yep, the purse matches my new bag - how sad am I?! And the floral purse was just too pretty to leave behind. Did I need two new purses? No. I really didn't..!
And the socks, well, at that price they're even cheaper than Primark, so obviously I couldn't resist!

Prom Night

I've actually been trying to post for a few days now - I promise I've had all good intentions! But my internet has been severely playing up. Highly annoying. Although it has highlighted to me just how much I rely on the internet & how much time I spend on it - crazy. I've been going mental with it not working properly!

Right anyway, hopefully it'll work long enough for me to do this :)

So, Friday was my Year 11s Prom - I work in the school, just so you know, I'm not in Year 11! So it was a lovely excuse to get a bit dolled up & have a good night - & it's SO great to see them all on that night - I love Prom! They all make SUCH an effort & they all look so gorgeous.

I decided I was going to be brave, & show you what I wore. Properly. As in, me wearing it. Urgh. Can't believe I'm about to do this..!

So here's what I went for:

That's the only full length pic of my outfit, so it had to do! I don't actually like it much - I feel like I'm leaning in a weird way, which makes my belly stick out :( I was trying so hard to breathe it in, but I obviously kept forgetting! (& the more vodka & Pimms consumed, the less I cared, gotta be honest!)

I've got a couple more photos, to show you more of the details..

That's the jewellery I wore. The ring is one of my oldest & favouritest rings - I used to wear it a huge amount, but I've noticed I wear it less frequently now I've got so damn many! So I decided it needed a reappearance. I chose the necklace because again, I used to wear it LOADS, but haven't done for AGES (like the ring). It's one I got for my 21st birthday - it's actually engraved on the back of the pendant - it says "Danielle, 21" - just in case I ever forget who I am & which birthday I got it for!
The bracelet I believe I showed you when I bought it - love it, it's so pretty. Got lots of compliments on the night :)

I also thought I'd include the next photo, so you can see the lacey shrug thingymebob a bit better:

I was REALLY glad I wore this. I've had it in my wardrobe for ages & hadn't ever worn it before. But it was just perfect for this. I hate my arms/shoulders/chubby bits - & this covered me up enough, without being too warm or too cardigany - it was pretty enough to go with the event (I thought anyway) - I would've been hugely more self-conscious if I hadn't have worn it, so I was glad I had :)

By the way, the photos cropped like it is because it has students in it - & to be honest, half of my face is quite enough anyway :p !

I've got lots more things to show you - things I've been buying.. things I've been wearing.. things I've been wanting etc. But I'll leave you with this for today.

So, where to start?

My Dorothy Perkins order (featured in my last post) arrived safe & sound - also including these, which I didn't show you before:

These Uttam London rosette dresses were both in the sale too, at £10 each. There was a pretty aqua colour too that I was tempted by, but it was out of stock in my size - lucky really!

There's so many sales at the moment - it's not a good time for my poor bank balance..! That & the fact I still haven't been paid for the extra hours I've been doing since bloody February, doesn't help. I was assured it'd be in this month's pay cheque.. which obviously wasn't the case. Oh well, it'll be a bonus next month, right in time for the Summer holidays, so I'll look on the bright side!

I've been having a sort of streak of good luck recently.. (wish it'd transfer to more areas of my life!) - but I won the Wonderland prize on Gem Fatale's blog - www.gemfatale.blogspot.com - very exciting! Check it out:

I definitely am going to do a blog sale at some point in the semi-near future. I have got so much stuff, it's really ridiculous. I've got lots & lots of brand new with tags items, that deserve to go to a more appreciative home! So that's something I'm going to definitly organise. I may well wait until the Summer holidays though.. I think there's 4 weeks left of school, then I have 5 weeks off. That way I'll have time to do it properly (I hope) & get things posted off etc. Good idea?

You've probably noticed, if you're a regular reader of my blog, that I'm into jewellery - particularly rings.
I seem to have bought a ridiculous amount of new jewellery in the past couple of days (I blame the sales entirely!), so thought I'd show you some of it :)

These bits are all from the Dorothy Perkins sale:

Dorothy Perkins has LOADS of jewellery in their sale - this was me being restrained! Well worth a look :)

This is also somewhere worth a look: www.rock-n-retro.co.uk - it's a site I've had in my favourites for ages now, but had never actually used. I randomly had a look late Thursday night, & there's a sale on - woo! I placed an order, & it arrived this morning. Very impressed indeed.

Here's just a snippet of what I got:

This brooch is probably my favourite item - it's so pretty :) Also the most expensive item I bought - at a whole £2.25!

I got a few bits - including a tape measure bracelet, which I wore today! There's all sorts on there; Lego rings, button necklaces & earrings (which I also got..) - definitely worth checking out. Although I do recommend if you are going to have a look, do it quickly, because I noticed lots of the colours etc are sold out - probably because it's such a good sale!

This is by no means all I've bought.. I also got 2 necklaces & a bracelet from Asda today - aswell as a couple more nail varnishes.. only went in for a Father's Day present - oops! But no pics of those yet.

I'm sure you'll be pleased to know that I bought a dress from my last post... the purple maxi dress! I do really like it, but I'm not sure of it on me. I much prefer the shape of the H&M maxi-dresses. This New Look one felt really clingy. Which I hated. So I ended up buying it 3 sizes bigger..!

I also took a dress back to H&M today - being sensible, getting my £9.99 back.. However, I then left the shop with: a scarf, a skirt, sunglasses, top x 2 & tshirt x 3! That is not sensible! Honestly, I think I need help. But at least I won't be short of things to show you in future posts :) Although, I do really need to find my camera..

I don't really have anything planned for this post to be honest, I just noticed it'd been a week, so figured I'd not let anymore time pass by!

I still haven't taken any pics of all my new stuff, so that's not helpful - can't show you those things..

Ok, here's the rings I wore today:

I LOVE this elephant ring. I think it's adorable. It always puts a smile on my face :)
I bought it from eBay a while ago - if I was clever enough I would do a link now to the post where I talked about it!
Gotta say, this ring gets some very mixed reactions. Not that I care, I think it's cute & that's all that matters.

This one's from Dorothy Perkins. I may well have posted that one before too - don't remember, do apologise.. I've also got it in grey & purple. I wear the grey one quite a bit, but I appear to have lost the purple on for the timebeing..definitely haven't seen it in a while..

My nail varnish in those pics is my new OPI one - it looks much darker there though for some reason. I rather like it, & I'm an even bigger fan of it because I realised I have a bag that matches it - so guess what I've been using this week!? Sad I know. I can't help it!

I had an email today from New Look & noticed that they have an offer on at the moment - 20% off all dresses! Pretty good hey? I'm not sure if that's in store as well, or just online.. But of course, I had to have a quick look on the site..
Now, I'm trying very hard to be restrained, so I haven't ordered any. I know, how good am I!? But, thought I'd show you a few that are tempting me, in case anyone's interested!

Love this for some reason. It's so.. kitsch! See the sequin berets on the flamingos. Amazing. This is now only £10 (was £25!)

This one is reduced from £45 - down to £14 - bargain! I love the paint splash print - think this would be an easy dress-down, or dress-up kinda item.. What do you think?

Welcome to my 24th post - & hello & thanks to my 124 followers!

So, my resolution to post more over the half term obviously didn't quite go to plan. I'm sure you weren't expecting any less from me, but I do apologise - as usual.. I'm starting to sound like a broken record aren't I!?

This is going to be a really random post I think. I just decided I needed to stop making it all such a big deal in my head, & just do it. So here I am.
First things first, I've decided to kick off again with a tasty man! Another one I'd forgotten about from my previous post..

The rather lovely, Mr James Nesbitt. Definitely got something about him this man. Such a cheeky chappie! The only time I haven't thought much of him was in Murphy's Law - the facial hair just didn't do it for me!

Anyway, I've bought rather a lot of stuff recently, but I haven't got photos of any of it yet - I also haven't managed to sort out pics of my giveaway wins yet - I'm basically useless.. So, as I said, random post.

The lovely weather has inspired me to go sandal shopping. I have rather a lot of shoes, but I find sandals quite difficult - I cannot handle toe-posts. You'd be surprised how many millions of pairs of sandals this discounts immediately!
I didn't find much at all for quite a while.. I wasn't desperate for new sandals, I do have a couple of pairs, but I just fancied some different ones..! Didn't want to spend a huge amount. Mainly because I don't like spending much on anything!

Then I came across these:

For the absolutely bargain price of £8.40 - including free delivery & free returns. So they became mine! They arrived at the weekend & I wore them on Sunday - brilliant. Job done.

However, when I just quickly visited the site to steal that photo.. lo & behold, they have new stock of flat, toe-post-less sandals to tempt me with!

So.. I've now just ordered these babies:

The pink & purple ones were the even more bargainous price of £6 each - & the cream/white ones were a whole .. wait for it! ... £3.80!
& like I said, free delivery & free returns. Or they do offer next day delivery, if you needed something in a hurry & to be fair, that's only £3.50, which is very reasonable!

Check it out! It really does come recommended - I've bought a few things from there now (including a couple of gorgeous maxi dresses & I've never had any problems with them whatsoever. I will warn you, there's quite a variety of items on there in my opinion - it's one of those where if you have a good look, you'll find something great - but on first glance, you could be mistaken for thinking it's just tacky tat. In the nicest possible way!

We've had quite an up & down relationship for a really long time now - we totally hated each other for quite a while (couple of years..?), but we seem to be past that & are getting on pretty well at the moment. Long may it last!
I'm the type of person that if I see something I think someone would like, I'll get it for them (within reason obviously), but I do like giving people things. So I've given her various things over the years & since she had her baby, I'm always buying things for him too!
She's never been like that at all, but then yesterday she texted me saying she'd got me a new nail varnish because she thought it might cheer me up after my first day back at work.. & by gum, it did! It's just so unlike her. I don't know what came over her, but I'm not complaining!

I googled the names to get these pics, because I still don't know where my camera is, & my phone camera wouldn't pick the colours up properly at all - so here goes:

So I'm quite excited to see if I notice much difference - I've never had a more expensive nail varnish y'see. The majority of mine are George @ Asda - £1.50 or less! & I've always been totally happy with that. But I am interested to see the difference!

Ok, so here I am. I guess the posting more regularly thing can probably be deemed as unsuccessful..!
I've been around - I'm reading everyone else's blogs, I'm commenting, but I just am finding the idea of posting really difficult. I don't even know why. But it's taken me ages to work up to doing this.

I do want to thank everyone who's been commenting me, & hasn't abandoned me since I've been a rubbish blogger - I've only lost a couple of followers, & I can't blame 'em really!
But a massive thank you to those that are sticking by me :)

It's half term now, so I will try & post more - no promises..! But I will try.

Ok, so my last post was a bit silly, but I quite enjoyed it - after I'd posted it I realised there was someone I'd forgotten, so I've decided to give him his own little space here in this post:

The lovely Doug Savant, aka Tom Scavo in Desperate Housewives.

So, I don't really have too much to say on that - have had a soft spot on this man since Desperate Housewives started, & couldn't believe I'd forgotten him - so here he is!

Ok so I'm going to give you some ideas of some of the things I've been wearing whilst I've not been posting.. As usual for me, there's generally not full outfit pics, just components/snippets!

This is an outfit I'd worn to work with grey trousers (no pic), then just changed into jeans to meet my sister after work.

I'm not sure that the colours are all that clear here - looking back at it. The cardigan & shoes are both a gorgeous 'blush pink/nude' shade, that goes perfectly with the rose quartz necklace. It all looks a bit washed out here, I'm not sure why - sorry!
I love the lace top - the buttons add a little detail to it - don't know how well you can see that..

Having a look now at my pics, I think these are all pretty much work outfits! So maybe not all that exciting, but oh well, it's something I guess!

A 'blue' day.. Got that checked shirt in the sale in Primark a few weeks ago. It was only £5, & I love it. It's so versatile. I wore it this day, open over a long tshirt & black shorts with blue tights. But it's also long enough to be worn as a dress - which I've done, over leggings. It was a well worth it purchase!

That blue ring? You may well have spotted it already, in pink - or if not, you soon will!

I don't know if anyone's been reading since the beginning, but in one of my first posts I mentioned really wanting a 'watch-ring' - well, look at that, I've got one!
Spotted it in the Topshop sale & literally HAD to have it! Weirdly, the couple of times I've worn it, it's got lots more attention from the boys at school than the girls! The boys are very impressed with it! & I've gotta say, I love it :)

I don't know why the cardigan looks blue there, but it's not - it's the exact same purple as the ring/beads in the necklace..
I adore these sandals. I got them in the sale last year from asos. However, I'm really disappointed, as the zips (which you can't see - they go up the back of the heel), have both broken - so they do up ok, but then they just gape open & apparently they can't be fixed :( So I have to wear full length trousers with them at the moment, to hide the backs! But I rolled them up to photograph them..

Ok, one more days outfit - I've got a few more, but if I save some then I'm more likely to post again! & don't want to overload you in this one post..

I think all the jewellery featured in this, I posted about when I bought it - nice to see it in context?! They've all become very popular pieces actually - they're all easy to wear pieces that work with lots of things..

Right, I think this has gone on long enough now. I hope you've enjoyed seeing these. Sorry if I've just bored the pants off you!

Like I said, it's half term now, so I have a week off work - so hopefully will be able to use some of that time to blog a bit more. I have a few things I need to post about.. some more outfits to show you, things I've bought.. & I've also been lucky enough to receive a couple of giveaways that I need to share with you :)

Ok, so as I said, I've not been around so much - I have been trying to comment more again on your blogs though. Things are still pretty... difficult. But I'm getting there. Slowly but surely.
Have been thinking about posting again, but decided to ease myself in gently, with a bit of light relief!

I've seen this around on a few blogs, so decided to give it a go :)

The idea is that you choose 5 people from the world of film or tv, that you'd be happy to have some 'one on one time' with.. if you get my drift.
Anyway, I've blatantly cheated, as I couldn't narrow it down to 5!

I love the programme, & I'd like to think I would like it even if he weren't in it - but he definitely helps. He makes me go rather weak at the knees as Dean Winchester.

I'm pretty sure if you watch The Mentalist, you can't help but love him. He's got such a cheeky grin - check out those dimples.

Then we have the gorgeous Goran Visnjic, who played Luka Kovac in one of my all time favourite programmes, ER.

I've been watching the entire boxset from the beginning since the new year (am up to Season 12), so maybe that's why he came to mind! He's one of my favourite characters, & I love the way he develops over the course of the programme.

Ok, next we have a man who my friends all laugh at me for fancying. I don't care how old he is, he's gorgeous :)

Anthony LaPaglia:

He plays Jack Malone on Without A Trace, so happens to be my favourite character of one of my favourite shows. And, very much like some of the other men I've chosen (well, their characters anyway) - he's a troubled soul - the brooding, tortured type obviously appeals to me - don't quite know what says about me!

(I think I've got a thing for men in suits..!)

Last but not least, we have the cheeky chappy Andrew Lincoln:

This man has been a favourite of mine for quite some time now. Loved him in Teachers. Loved him in AfterLife. Loved him in Love Actually. I'm sure you get the picture.
He seems to have done quite a bit of voiceover work too, so it always makes me smile to hear his voice unexpectedly on an advert too!

Ok, so I owe you guys a BIG apology...

I'm not self-centred enough to assume anyone has even noticed my absence, let alone cared, but I still feel the need to explain slightly.

I've not been around much recently. I haven't posted for AGES (for me, anyway) - & for that, I'm sorry. I've been a crap blogger.
Basically, I've had a hell of a lot of stuff going on, in real life, so to speak. Stuff that on the whole, I've been finding bloody difficult to deal with.
Some of it pertains to an active court case, so I can't say too much on the matter.
I don't even know that I want to explain too much.
I just needed to say that, that I've been just trying to deal with what life was throwing at me - so couldn't handle this too.

I know that seems silly. I just couldn't face posting. I don't even know why. Then the more I left it, the harder it seemed.

But I'm coming through the other side now. Sort of anyway.
I'm writing this post to let you know that I may not be around for a while. I'm not sure. I'm still trying to read & will hopefully be getting back to commenting too. I like staying up to date with what you lot are up to & everything. It's just been too hard to join in. But I'm going to try a bit more.

So, if I don't post much for a bit - I apologise. But I'm going to try, every so often.

The person I owe the biggest apology to, is Ruth. I'm so sorry Ruth, that I haven't posted your giveaway goodies. I know it's no excuse, but with everything that's been going on, I've hardly been out at all - so I haven't made it to the Post Office. I really am sorry. Right, onto normal topics for my blog - things I've been buying...

Well, I thought I'd been really good, & hadn't bought much recently at all - but apparently I was totally kidding myself! I think because I haven't been into town, I'd convinced myself I hadn't bought anything - but obviously that's not true.. I'm sure you know me well enough by now to know that!

So, first off, my latest asos order:

I got this lovely Vero Moda blazer in both colours, as I love it:

I'm quite big into blazers - I've got loads, but none in either of these colours, so they are obviously totally justifiable purchases.. ahem!

I also got some jewellery (of course!):

Some rather lovely bits & pieces there.. I'm particularly loving the floral fabric ring & the mirror pendant - look how pretty it is :)

I have since had an email saying that the owl ring is out of stock :( So I'm quite disappointed by that! But still wanted to show you...

Ooh, I also got this, which I almost forgot about!

Really like the print on this :)

This order has apparently been dispatched now, so am looking forward to receiving it! (But not to the disapproving looks from my parents when they see another parcel coming my way - oops!)

Pretty good huh? They've had free returns for a little while now too.
Although, obviously (as is just my luck), this was introduced the morning after I'd placed my order - of course. But I'm still pleased for my future purchases!

I've received a couple of things from eBay recently too:

This Marks & Spencers Portfolio dress. I don't really know why I got this to be honest. It's not very 'me' at all! However, it arrived this morning & it is a really nice dress, so we'll see. Maybe for work..?

It's a Forever 21 tunic - I'm pretty pleased with this - tried it on quickly earlier & I really like it :)

Have got other things to show you, including things I've been wearing recently - but am thinking I need to wrap it up here - shall save them for next time.
I went back to work today, after two weeks off for Easter, & I'm not joking, I'm exhausted. I was ready for bed by lunchtime. I can't believe it's only been one day & I already feel so drained. Not good really.

I bought this necklace last week, which I'm in love with (& so is my nephew - he's 14 months old & he always checks out what jewellery I'm wearing, he always loves all my rings - but he was particularly interested in this - can you blame him!? He's got good taste!)

Ooh, my Dorothy Perkins order arrived, & I love all of it! Very unusual for me - I normally want to return at least half of it! But it's all lovely stuff, & fits - again, very unusual - I'm not the easiest shape & size for online shopping, but this time it worked a treat - woo!
Haven't actually worn any of it yet though - oh, apart from the jewellery:

This ring was far bigger than I had expected from the website - good job I like big rings! It'd be too big & impractical for the majority of people though - without a doubt.

Right, so I finished work yesterday for Easter - I now have two weeks & one day off. Lovely. The bonuses of working in a school!

I was a bit naughty the other night & ordered some things from Dorothy Perkins - they'd sent me a code for 25% off, so I had to check it out, didn't I?!

Navy blue lace playsuit. I love navy blue, & I love lace - & I love this! I've never owned/worn a playsuit before, so I really hope it fits ok, as I am rather excited about it :)

These rings arrived yesterday - aren't they just the cutest!? They really are adorable. I spent ages deliberating over which colour to get, & I just couldn't for the life of me decide, so I had to get both! Glad I did though, I love them :)

This little Topshop beauty. Which I've paid the bargain price of £5.95 for (including p&p).

I do actually think I have a problem with shopping. I know that sounds silly. But it's like a compulsion. You should see my room, it's filled with bags & bags of things, still with tags on. Because I buy so much. It's ridiculous. & I know it is, yet I still am doing it! I think it's most likely some deep-rooted psychological problem, so therefore it's not worth fighting it :p

Anyway, hope you all have a fantastic Easter - we don't really 'do' Easter in my house - it's just time off work for us!
Has anyone got any exciting plans for the Easter weekend? I'm having my hair done tomorrow (which it's in desperate need of), so that's what I'm most looking forward to, sadly!

I went shopping AGAIN this weekend. Honestly, it's a real problem! I swear it's a compulsion or something - I probably need therapy of some kind. Oh well, let me share some of my buys with you!

So, I bought far too much stuff in Primark, yet again.
Including:

This pretty dress, which I love. Cost £9.

I also FINALLY gave in, & bought this:

I've been resisting it for far too long. & it's just so perfect, why shouldn't it be in my life?! Well, now it is. So I'm happy. Cost £10. Although, I got it in a bigger size, as shirts are always dodgy on me (as I've got big boobs) - & I wanted it to be slouchy & roomy enough, but now I've tried it on, I'm thinking it may actually be TOO big. Which is annoying! So might have to do a swap job. Not sure.
(Btw, how lovely would this shirt look with the above dress? Yay!)

I also picked this up:

Lace vest, in navy. I already own this in cream, black & grey.. I'm terrible at doing that - when I find something I like, buying it in every colour! Cost £4. (This is a bad pic, is much nicer than this in real life)

Also got two skirts in Primark:

This one's navy, with black embroidery (which you should be able to see better in the second pic) - was reduced to £5.

And:

This one is lighter than it looks in the pics - tis a kinda cornflower blue/lilacy colour - pretty :) Also cost £5 in the sale.

Also treated myself to two pairs of shoes (which I don't need!):

These shoes are kinda hideous, therefore I love 'em! They were also reduced to £2,so there was no way I was leaving them behind!

Also got these, slightly more sensible shoes:

They're a pale, nude, pink kinda colour - so figured they'd go with lots of things as the sun starts coming out :) They cost £4.

I also bought a top in H&M (& a skirt that I don't have a pic of - it's just plain black & stretchy anyway, nothin exciting):

I also bought a bag in New Look for £5:

Pic doesn't really show the colour - it's a really pretty muted turquoise, with silver trim.

Look at all my followers, just look! How exciting!?

I promise I've actually started sorting the giveaway now.. I'm not posting about it yet - it needs a post of it's own! The giveaway features lots of make up, a scarf, a couple of rings & some creme bath (so far!).

Haven't been into town since my last post. I work Monday-Friday, so generally my shopping is done at the weekend - although I internet shop/eBay any day of the week (but as you know, that doesn't count!)

These are another asos sale purchase - eyelet shoes. I also have them in silver/grey, but saying that has just made me realise that I've never worn those ones! These black ones get shown off quite a lot though - not bad for £5!

I've used this bag a few times this week (very unlike me!):

I bought this off eBay. Love this bag - it's a really good size for work, & the colour is gorgeous. I've had lots of compliments this week on it - even a small argument today with someone who was convinced it had to be real leather, & wouldn't believe me when I told her it was only a cheap bag!

I've actually had a really crap day - somehow managed to quit my job. So that was fun. Stupidest thing ever, being that my problem is not with my job at all - I love my job, it's the best job I've ever had. But I've since seen my boss, who informed me that even though I left work 6hrs early today saying I'd quit(!), he's chosen to ignore my resignation & expects to see me in the morning. So.. Haha! I saw it AGES ago in grey, & loved it, but my size was always sold out. Then today, there it was, in black, in my size, in the sale! So it's going to be mine :)
I'm totally not a hoodie kinda girl in the slightest, but oh well - they're handy, for say.. long journeys?! I think that's the last time I wore a hoodie - the trip to Paris (by coach).. in November. Oh well, I love it!

Right, think that's it for today. I only realised after, but my last post was REALLY long! I know I haven't got round to replying to all the comments yet, I do apologise. Totally distracted at the moment, with.. life. And all the crap that comes with it. But I will do, promise :)

I am in shock that I have more than 50 followers! A massive thank you to everyone that's following me, or has commented me (or both of course!) - I really do appreciate each & every one of you - & am planning on replying to my comments after I do this :)

Just to let you know, I haven't got my giveaway ready to post about. I'm sorry. I know I'm crap. It's just happened so quickly (not complaining, it's amazing!) & I haven't had chance to sort it all out. I promise it'll be this week. I have got a collection of bits & pieces that are ready to go in this giveaway, including mainly make-up & a bit of jewellery (so far) - will let you know more details asap. I hope you're not too disappointed in me - I've just had a huge amount going on & haven't had time to sort out the details. Sorry!

I went shopping yesterday... Naughty me! On my way home I did realise that it probably wasn't a good idea to go shopping the week before payday - but oh well!

Love this, it's SO pretty. This skirt was from Primark & cost a whole £7.

Was going to get the navy blue striped one, but the buttons were gold (bleurgh), so went for this one - which is 'cornflower', as it has silver buttons :) This cost £5.

Have seen lots of Paris-inspired items around (which I like, particularly as I went to Paris a few months ago!), but have resisted so far - until I saw this:

It's lovely - & only cost £5. It's a pretty 'blush' colour (which doesn't show up well here) - very on trend!

Spotted this in the Mens Department - I always check out mens stuff for t-shirts & accessories - I always used to buy mens cardigans, as they were a bit longer & slouchier, but now I don't have to, as they're all 'boyfriend' style anyway!

I don't really know why I like this so much, but I LOVE it - & it's such an easy to wear piece :) Only cost £4.

I also got some black jeggings, as I've wanted some for a while - & some light blue ones, as I thought they'd be nice for Summer - they're reduced to £6. I've already got the dark blue ones from ages ago, but thought I might as well! (Didn't get a pic of them though..)

I also picked these pretty bits up:

Some 'wine' tights, as they were only 50p, & two new rings! The pink rose one is from New Look & the other one is from Asda, & it's amazing - really unusual. I struggled to get a decent pic of it though - will keep trying!

I also bought quite a few things in New Look (again). Haven't got pics of all of it, but here's some:

Grey 'skater' dress - on offer at £10 at the moment, from £16. These are great as they're so versatile, & ideal for layering etc.

I also got a couple of pretty basic tops which I thought would do for work, which I haven't got pics of.
Then I bought this for my friend:

She's got a thing about giraffes, & collects them - so when I saw this I couldn't resist! Hope she likes it :)

This is probably my new favourite dress - ever:

It really didn't photograph well (you may have noticed I still haven't found my camera..), but seriously - it's amazing. So amazing that I bought it in black too :)

I also bought this bag, which again, doesn't do it justice :

It's really nice, & it cost £8. I may have mentioned before that I love grey! It reminds me of a bag I've already got, which is a similar shape, but is white & studded ALL over with oversized silver studs - it's beautiful!

Speaking of bags, this is the bag I used yesterday for my shopping trip:

It's one I've had for years. It was from New Look. I was feeling uninspired when I was getting ready yesterday, & it just happened to be there!

I also wore these shoes:

Which are the same as the black ones I've blogged about recently - from Primark, costing £6 - ages ago.

I also bought some random little bits - like a purple umbrella for £1, a bright yellow nail varnish for 50p, a pack of 10 pens for 27p (bargain!) as the kids at school keep borrowing & not returning all my pens - etc..

I cut & painted my nails last night - they now look like this:

Can't believe I have 49 followers! Tomorrow I'll sort out the stuff for my giveaway & take pictures etc ready for a post - how exciting!?

So, the party..
This is what I wore:

It's a Miss Selfridge dress, via eBay. Got it months & months ago but hadn't worn it yet, so decided it was time for its debut :) I really like it, it was so comfy & I love this colour..
(Excuse the state of it in this pic - I had to retrieve it from the floor where I'd dumped it to take a pic of it earlier.. I promise it was ironed when I went out!)

I wore it with black tights, a black slouchy cardi (to dress it down a bit - & to cover my fat arms!) & these shoes:

These are my trusty 'going-out' shoes! They're pretty much the only shoes I ever wear out. They're so comfy, & they go with everything, & they're the only heels I can walk in! So it's either these or flats :) They were from Peacocks, & I've had them for quite a few years now - so they're doing me well..

This is the bag I used:

I got it for Christmas a couple of years ago, & I didn't think I liked it much at all at first, but actually it's really grown on me & I'ved used it quite a lot! It's a good size & I like that it's a clutch, but with a handle.. if that makes sense..?

My hair looked like this:

My Mum did this for me, as I'm incapable of doing it myself! It was clipped at one side with a black flower (you might just be able to make it out..)

All in all, it was a good night! Well, until I got home anyway.. I got in at 1am, but didn't make it to bed until 4am. As I was indisposed in the bathroom, shall we say. Oops. Didn't really want to know that did you!? It was the first time I've had a drink since New Year's Eve - & I wasn't exactly sensible... But other than that, it was a fun night. Which I'm glad about, because I really wasn't sure that I wanted to go.

In all my drama of having to find an outfit for the party, I forgot about what I was actually wearing all day - I do however have a pic of the shoes:

They're sequin pumps from New Look a few years ago. I was wearing a black dress & black tights, with turquoise cardigan & jewellery - these are great, as they're just black pumps, so go with lots of things, but the sequins just add a bit of interest :)

Just realised that this has gotta be the first post I've ever done, with NO jewellery (ie. rings) photos! Crazy.

Ooh, just one more thing to show you:

How cute is that?! This is the purse I used last night. My sister gave it to me for Christmas, from my nephew :) It's meant to remind me of him. It's the first time I've used it, & it generated some interest I tell you! It's actually quite handy, as it doesn't take up much room at all.

I think that's it for today. I'm ridiculously tired & my brain's not functioning properly so I should probably leave it there!

I feel like I've been a bit of a rubbish blogger this week. I've just not had chance - I do apologise!

As for my giveaway, it's going to have to be for when I get 50 followers, to give me chance to sort it out & get the prizes - I never in a million years expected to get to 40(+1!) so quickly! But it will happen - I promise. I've ordered some bits & pieces, so waiting on them to arrive & will sort it out & post about it properly :)

Outfit today: I wore this skirt for the first time, & got LOTS of compliments, which is always nice :)

It should really be worn high-waisted, but as it's got ruched elasticy bits, there was enough space in it to wear it down on my hips - which made it long enough for work, yay!

I love this skirt :) I love the big pockets, & it's a gorgeous colour, & the buttons are so pretty.. I love it!

I wore it with black tights, patent black shoes (see previous post), a black vest tucked in & a slouchy black cardi - don't forget it was a work outfit, so I have to be suitably covered up etc!

Got this ring ages ago, from a jewellery stall in a market - I've also got it in cream, & I wear them both a lot :) The colour of this doesn't show up too well in this pic, but it goes really nicely with the skirt.

I believe I've posted this before.. I had to wear it, as it went so well with the buttons! Sad life I lead honestly.. Although, someone actually commented on the fact, so I'm not the only one to notice details like that!

Finishing touch:

I adore my unicorn necklace. I don't get chance to wear it all that much, as I'm definitely more of a silver girl - so I had to make the most of the opportunity today! It was from asos a while ago now & I loved it for AGES, then it finally went down in the sale, & became mine! Cost me £3. Well worth it :)

So, I'm meant to be going to a 40th birthday party tomorrow night. It's at quite a posh golf club, so it's definitely a bit more of a dressy do than my usual Friday night! I'm not even positive I'm going at the moment, but I've been debating with myself all week about what I'm going to wear! Haven't actually come up with any conclusions whatsoever, so that's helpful! I was going to show you some options & get some opinions, but have just realised that I didn't get round to taking those pics.. Oh well.
In all the thinking I've been doing about what dress I'm going to wear (if I go out) tomorrow night, I suddenly recalled these shoes:

(They came to mind as I was thinking about a pink dress I've got!)

Look at them - how amazing are they?! I got them months & months ago, & had forgotten their very existence. I've never worn them, & getting them out today, I realised I never will! I can't do heels. Not proper heels like that anyway. I know full well I'm never going to wear them - I probably knew this when I bought them. But they're so pretty, that I bought them anyway! How ridiculous!
I've got lots & lots of heels that just sit, looking pretty. Most of them have been worn once, & then I've accepted that it's just not meant to be. But these poor things hadn't even made it out the bag! I'm thinking I'm going to need to find a loving home for them. They deserve to be worn & adored properly.
I did try & convince myself that I could wear them (they'd go so well with this pink dress!), but it's not going to happen. I know it won't. It makes me sad, but.. they deserve better! (They're a size 5, if anyone's interested!)

Ok, so as for the giveaway - definitely going to happen! Now I've had the idea, I keep seeing things I want to get for it - it's going to be great :) Mixture of make-up, jewellery, smellies, clothes - dunno, bit of everything! I'll confirm details (when I've decided them!), but am now thinking that maybe 40 followers is a more obtainable goal than 50..?

So, here are some snippets of my work outfit today:

Have just noticed that my ENTIRE outfit is comprised of Primark purchases (apart from the jewellery):

Dress - £5 (sale - ages ago)
Cardigan - £5 (sale - not so long ago - first time I've worn it)
Tights - £1 (can't go wrong with Primark tights - they're bloody great!)
Shoes - £6 (had these AGES - have also got the exact same pair, in cream & a pretty lilacy/blue)
Scarf - £2.50 I think - again, had this a very long time
Necklace - eBay
Rings - Ethel Austin & H&M

You may well notice that I'm very unlikely to do full outfit posts - even though they tend to be my favourite kind of posts that other people do! This is mainly down to the fact I'm highly unphotogenic (apart from my hands apparently!) & I'm not actually comfortable in my own body, therefore tend to dislike pics of myself. I've put on quite a lot of weight in a relatively short space of time, & it's like my mind still hasn't caught up with my body - so I'm still surprised & horrified when I see myself in pictures sometimes, how big I am. I'm a good couple of dress sizes bigger than my mind remembers me being (although I only used to be a size 8..) So I don't really want to post that on the internet! Will keep sharing things I've bought & are wearing though, just not in proper outfit posts. Hope that's ok!

So, as I've previously mentioned, I'm having a pretty hard time of it at the moment. I don't want to go into why or anything, but as a consequence, I'm not sleeping very well. At all. I've never been a great sleeper, but at the moment I'm averaging 3hrs a night - & even that sleep is broken. As a result of this - the bags under my eyes are horrendous! I've always been dark under my eyes, but it's getting ridiculous - I look like I've been in a boxing ring, my under eyes are so purple. They don't go puffy or anything, just really dark. & I get paler when I'm tired, so that accentuates even more. Anyway, there was a point to this rambling! I've just ordered this:

Tis a L'oreal Visible Lift Under Eye Concealer. Now, gotta be honest - this area is not my expertise - so was wondering if anyone had any experience of this product? Is it any good? I'm not too worried, as I've ordered it anyway - but it's only from eBay (brand new & sealed, obviously), & I've paid £2 including p&p, so it's not the end of the world if it's not amazing. I was just wondering!

Right, this post feels like it's taken forever to compose - so I'd best leave it there I think.
(Actually, on that point - do you think I write too much? Would you prefer more images, less text? Let me know your opinions! Not that I'll necessarily take any notice :p but I'd be interested to hear)

I can't believe I've got 35 followers - I really never expected that anyone would want to read this! But it's great :) Thanks guys!

I keep seeing these everywhere, so I'm considering it too... A giveaway. Gotta be honest, before I started reading other people's blogs it would never have occurred to me - but now I'm quite liking the idea. I've got quite a lot of ideas of things to include! Maybe not yet though.. I should set a target. 50 followers? Is that unobtainable?! Hmm.. I shall put some thought into it & get back to you - does anyone have any comments on this idea?

So anyway, I've been very restrained since I last posted, & have bought nothing! Well, apart from eBay again - which as you know, I don't think counts :p

So I'm waiting on these items:

Got this on the way too. It's from Dorothy Perkins & I've paid £4 for it :) I've actually already got a VERY similar top (from Primark), but I don't know what I've done with it.. & this is a BIT different.. !

Remember a few posts back, & I showed you the things I'd ordered from New Look? Well, today, I returned the floral skater dress & the watch - shame, but that's the risk you take when you order things online I guess.

Got this ring a couple of weeks ago, & have worn it a few times already - I love it :) It's really pretty. It's like a cluster/knot of pearls. I've had lots of compliments on it too. This is a crappy pic, but you should get the idea.

It's not exactly cheap though (approx. £65 I think), so I can't decide! & actually, one really wouldn't be enough anyway - I have far too many shoes! Does anyone have any experience with these, or similar? I first saw them before Christmas some time, but I still haven't got round to actually biting the bullet & ordering it, so should that tell me something? Hmm...

Mid-week

Was meant to do this yesterday, but just couldn't bring myself to. Don't really feel like doing it now either, but I figured once I started it'd be ok.

I'm having a hard time of it at the moment. I don't really want to go into it, as I don't want this blog to turn into somewhere I talk about these things - the point of it is to be lighthearted & to distract me from everything else. But.. oh I don't know, I just felt the need to mention it. We'll leave it at that!

So anyway, I haven't been into town since I last posted - so no new purchases to show you. Unless of course you count eBay buys! Which of course you do, so here goes:

This arrived this morning before work:

It's a H&M top - I was pleasantly surprised, as it's actually a lot nicer than the photo suggests! It's more silver than grey, & I love the big bow - it fits really nicely & will go with lots of things I own. I can picture it with different combinations both for work, daytime or even nights out - & I love things like that! Versatility is key :)

I've also got this little lovely winging its way to me as we speak:

How cute? I paid £3.99 for it. I had my eye on one similar from asos AGES ago & never got round to getting it. I actually could've picked this up much cheaper, because I've seen the exact same charms for sale - but they've been sold out for ages (bloody Alice in Wonderland inspired people!) & I couldn't wait any longer!

I also received this at the weekend:

Not the best photo (I took it from the eBay listing) - but you get the idea. It's from River Island & is a cool, slouchy t-shirt dress, with paint splatters on it (& pockets - I love pockets!). I paid about £6 for this. I love things like this, my wardrobe consists of quite a few t-shirt dresses. They're just so easy to wear. They're my staple 'don't know what to wear today' outfit - t-shirt dress of some kind, slouchy black cardi, black leggings. It's just so easy, yet cool.

I've also got a couple of new bags from eBay recently. One of them being, this one:

I paid £3.99 for this. It's a slightly darker green than it appears in the photo. I don't really know why I went for it - as it's totally not my colour. But anyway, I've got it now, & I do quite like it - & it's big enough for work, which as I've mentioned before is a bonus with bags! We'll see. I can picture it being one that ends up just sat, abandoned in my room for the rest of eternity..

Have got another new bag too, but the photo REALLY doesn't do it justice, so I'm not going to bother!

Speaking of bags - I'm in love with this bag:

It's from New Look & it's £18. Which I'm sad to say is out of my price range :( I totally love it though, in every colour. It's just so.. perfect!
I actually saw a Year 7 girl with it the other day, & was quite tempted to mug her. It's a sad sad day when you're jealous of an 11yr olds handbag!

I suppose this wouldn't be a complete post if I don't show you which rings I've been wearing!

Here goes:

I wore this today. I've had this quite a few years - this ring was where my love/obsession/need for big, chunky rings began! This was the first :) & I still love it.

I also wore a swirly silver one, but I've already posted that one, so won't again.

Both of which are Primarni specials! Had both of these for ages too. The coral one, I've also got the same one in bright pink & black..

Don't think I've got pics of the other ones I've worn this week.. I'll have to rectify that for you asap.

In case anyone's wondering (I'm sure you all are really..) - my nails are black this week. Very black. Needed a contrast from last weeks pretty & pale! Have also got a bruise across my left thumbnail, which isn't the most attractive of things, so figured black would cover it up good & proper!

Am having a seriously lazy Sunday - haven't got dressed yet (& not planning to!) - & am currently sat in bed writing this on my laptop, wrapped in a fleecy blanket - lovely :)

So, lots to talk about!
Lets start with some bits & bobs I got yesterday in town:

I got this bag in the New Look sale - yes, I couldn't resist checking it out in store as well as online - naughty I know!
It was on sale at £8 (from £18) - I really like it - it's big enough for work as well, which is always a bonus :)

Got these from the kids section of H&M - for the price of £1.99. I also bought a really cute tshirt for my nephew, but I gave it straight to my sister so didn't get a pic of it - not sure that baby boy fashion is what you want to see anyway..?!

Lovin' these little beauts. The gold heart necklace is from Primark & was reduced to £1, & the silver butterfly necklace is from New Look - in the sale at £2.

Some pretty bargain tights - always a winner :) Pink pair = £1 & teal/turquoise pair = 50p! Both from Primark.

Also got this little bag from New Look - £4. Don't think the colour shows up v.well in this photo - tis a great colour for all the nudes/peachy/pinky tones around at the moment. And got this purse from Primark.

Probably my favourite new thing of the day however, is this:

Speaking of rings, time for my update on which rings I've been wearing since my last post!

So, yesterday I was wearing:

My New Look order was waiting for me when i got home from work on Friday. Very exciting! Bit disappointed in the floral skater dress - it's not a v.nice material at all - thinking of returning that one. I think everything else was a keeper though :)

So, I know I'm new to this, but blogspot is seriously confusing me! I've been trying to do a new post for a couple of days now. Where's all the nice little buttons, that change the font & text size etc gone? Do I actually have to input my own html, coz that is so not going to happen.. I'm confused. I guess we'll just see what happens!

So, in taking photos of my rings for this blog, I've discovered that I actually have upwards of 60/70 rings floating around my room. Maybe more. This is an estimate. Which is rather crazy. But gives me plenty to share with you! Haven't actually photographed them all yet, maybe about half?

This is one I was wearing today:

This little beaut came to me from the world of eBay - only cost a couple of quid tops, then when it arrived it was snapped - so I was refunded. Superglue did the trick, it's now one of my faves - & it was FREE! Yay :) Freebies are bloody great.

While I was looking at my rings, I rediscovered this one, which I'd forgotten I'd owned & have never worn! It's a crime that it's been sat, forgotten & abandoned, look at it, it's so pretty!

I got this one from the asos sale last year. But like I said, it'd been abandoned - poor thing.

Ooh in that last photo you might be able to make out my new nail varnish. Tis a pretty pearly white colour. Very subtle for me - my nails are generally bright & making a statement, but fancied a change. However I did have to put 5 coats on, as it was just TOO subtle! I like it though, it's pretty.

I've just been rather naughty & have ordered some stuff from New Look... I had an email today saying about a sale, & as much as my will power tried to stop me, I just had to check it out.. I did cut down my original basket by approx half though before clicking 'Checkout', so that was quite good of me!

These are the things winging their way to me as we speak(ish):

Don't really know why I got this.. I went through a real watch phase a couple of years ago, the result of which being I have approx. 15 watches, in various colours - thing is, I NEVER wear a watch anymore. So yeah, I dunno. But I liked it, & it was reduced to £4.50 - so, maybe I'll start wearing a watch again!

Realised this morning that my purse had broken, so had a quick look, as I was ordering things anyway, & found this one - reduced to £3. I'm sure it'll do the job!

I can't remember what else I was going to talk about on this post, I've got distracted by my new order!

Ooh, I know something I was going to mention - does anyone watch 'Hotter Than My Daughter'? I seriously recommend getting on iPlayer & giving it a go, not only are some/most of the people actually hilarious, but I'm absolutely LOVING the presenter, Liz McClarnon's, wardrobe in it - she's got some absolutely gorgeous outfits - so worth having a look just for that :)

Right, I'm going to save the rest for more posts - don't want to go on TOO much in one go (I'm good at that, hey?!)

PS. I thought of something else I was going to tell you all - I got my boots back yesterday - YAY! My poorly, broken boots are now wearable again - I was so happy to have them back! So of course I had to wear them today - I've missed them!
Anyway, they're now back in my life, so I'm happy :)
